
Shadab Khan: “Sahibzada Farhan is enjoying his golden days… and we look forward [to] his performances in [the] Pakistan cricket team as well”

Pakistan T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan said big-hitting batsman Sahibzada Farhan is “enjoying his golden days”.
Farhan has been a force to be reckoned with in domestic cricket lately as he was the top run-scorer in the National T20 Cup with 605 runs in seven matches for Peshawar Region, which included three centuries and two fifties, at an incredible average of 121 and a strike-rate of 189.65.
He finished with the most runs in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) as well, amassing 449 runs in 12 games for Islamabad United, which included a hundred and three half-centuries, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
After PSL 10, the 29-year-old played in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and made 75 runs in two games, which included a career-best 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Shadab, who captained Islamabad United and witnessed Farhan’s batting onslaughts firsthand, acknowledged that he can’t wait to see what else the Charsadda native does for Pakistan in the future.
“Sahibzada Farhan is enjoying his golden days… and we look forward [to] his performances in [the] Pakistan cricket team as well,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan triumphed 3-0 in their T20I series against Bangladesh.
