Former Pakistan left-arm seamer Junaid Khan has delivered a brutally honest assessment of fast bowler Naseem Shah, saying he will get injured if he plays any Test cricket.
Naseem is one of the leaders of Pakistan’s pace attack and has taken 60 wickets in 20 Tests at an average of 35.13.
Most recently, the 22-year-old was in action in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand and claimed three wickets at an average of 38.
“Now if we look at Naseem, since he came back from injuries, you can see his front arm and head positions before injury and now. The bigger problem is that whenever he will play any Test cricket, he will get injured,” Junaid told PakPassion.
Naseem just finished representing Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and picked up nine wickets in 10 matches at an average of 40.33 and an economy rate of 9.30.
Once PSL 10 concludes on May 25, Pakistan will face Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, which will be played in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.
Naseem has been included in the squad and will be hoping to take plenty of wickets throughout the series.
