Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir: “A former cricketer from the 90s tried his best to destroy my career”

Pakistan left-arm pace bowler Mohammad Amir has claimed that an ex-cricketer from the 1990s tried to ruin his career.
Amir didn’t name the person, but expressed his anger at the fact that this former player was out to get him.
“A former cricketer from the 90s tried his best to destroy my career,” he was quoted as saying by Samaa TV.
With Amir having retired from international cricket, he didn’t feature in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where the men in green crashed out in the group stage after failing to win a single game.
He also wasn’t part of Pakistan’s limited overs tour of New Zealand, where the national team lost 4-1 in the T20Is and 3-0 in the ODIs.
Amir is now involved in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has taken 12 wickets in eight matches for the Quetta Gladiators at an average of 16.16 and an economy rate of 7.41.
The Gladiators will face the Lahore Qalandars in the PSL final on May 25.
After PSL 10 finishes, Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, which will be held in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.
