Former Pakistan pace bowler Sarfraz Nawaz said Haris Rauf bowls faster than Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, but cannot produce good deliveries on a regular basis.
He noted that Rauf “bowls one or two good deliveries once in a while” and has trouble maintaining a good line and length.
The 31-year-old recently played in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he took two wickets in two matches at an average of 67.50.
He fared a lot better in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand as he picked up eight wickets in four games at an average of 12.25.
In the three-match ODI series that followed, Rauf finished with three wickets in two matches at an average of 37.66.
“He’s the fastest of them all, but his line and length are not proper. He bowls one or two good deliveries once in a while,” Nawaz told Cricbuzz.
Rauf is now involved in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has claimed nine wickets in eight matches for the Lahore Qalandars at an average of 29.11 and an economy rate of 10.27.
PSL 10 got underway on April 11 and will conclude on May 18.
