Ahmed Shehzad: “The moment there’s a pressure game, his legs start shaking. He talks big but then says it doesn’t affect him”

Veteran Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has blasted batsman Babar Azam, saying his “legs start shaking” in important games.
He also slammed the 30-year-old for talking big and saying he is not affected by the pressure.
Azam is currently in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons as he has not been able to score runs regularly for the men in green, which has raised questions about how long it will take for him to regain his form.
“The moment there’s a pressure game, his legs start shaking. He talks big but then says it doesn’t affect him,” Shehzad was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Azam was recently involved in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where he made 62 runs in three matches at an average of 20.66.
He then took part in the 2025 Champions Trophy and amassed 87 runs in two games, which included a top score of 64, at an average of 43.50.
Pakistan are now touring New Zealand for a white-ball series and were battered 4-1 in the T20Is, which Azam wasn’t picked for.
However, he was selected for the ongoing three-match ODI series and began his campaign with 78 runs in the 1st ODI in Napier before only managing to make one run in the 2nd ODI in Hamilton.
The 3rd ODI will be held on April 5 in Mount Maunganui.
