Mohammad Hafeez: “He cannot only bowl and bat but is also a gun fielder”

Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has lauded T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan, saying he can bat, bowl and is a “gun fielder”.
Shadab has been praised repeatedly for the all-round impact he can have and has constantly been named as Pakistan’s best fielder right now.
The 26-year-old did not get picked for the 2025 Champions Trophy, where the men in green crashed out in the group stage after failing to win a single match.
He made his return to the national team in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand and scored 58 runs in five games at an average of 14.50.
Bowling-wise, he took one wicket at an average of 143.
“He cannot only bowl and bat but is also a gun fielder,” Hafeez was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan and New Zealand are now playing a three-match ODI series, which the Black Caps lead 1-0 after triumphing by 73 runs in the 1st ODI in Napier.
The 2nd ODI will be held on April 2 in Hamilton.
