Australia batsman Steve Smith admitted that he is a big fan of the food in Pakistan, saying it is “delicious”.
Smith was recently in Pakistan as he featured in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he amassed 97 runs in three matches, which included a top score of 73, at an average of 48.50.
In addition to praising the cuisine, the 35-year-old also spoke highly of the Pakistani people and their hospitality.
“The hospitality is wonderful, the people are excellent, and the food is delicious,” he was quoted as saying by the Times of Karachi.
The Pakistan team failed to impress in the Champions Trophy as they crashed out in the group stage after going winless.
They are now playing a limited overs series against New Zealand and kicked off their tour in disappointing fashion as they were demolished 4-1 in the T20Is.
The two sides are now facing each other in a three-match ODI series, which the Black Caps lead 1-0 after winning the 1st ODI in Napier by 73 runs.
The 2nd ODI will take place on April 2 in Hamilton.
