Javed Miandad: “It is useless blaming the system, selectors, and all that. The question is, are these selected players short on anything? Does the PCB not take care of them? Are they not paid enough?”

Legendary Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad has expressed his frustration with the players in the national team, questioning if they are being paid enough.
His comments come after the men in green have fallen well short of expectations in their last few assignments.
During the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, they made it to the final before losing to the Black Caps.
Pakistan were then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and went winless as they crashed out in the group stage.
Currently, they are playing a white-ball series against New Zealand and were thrashed 4-1 in the T20Is.
“It is useless blaming the system, selectors, and all that. The question is, are these selected players short on anything? Does the PCB not take care of them? Are they not paid enough? So where is the passion and fire and professionalism to perform in big matches and tournaments?” Miandad was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan and New Zealand are now playing a three-match ODI series, which the Black Caps lead 1-0 after winning the 1st ODI in Napier by 73 runs.
The 2nd ODI will be held on April 2 in Hamilton.
