Sunil Gavaskar: “If Pakistan captain Imran Khan had been the skipper, he would have beaten everyone with his bat”

Iconic India batsman Sunil Gavaskar believes legendary Pakistan captain Imran Khan would have beaten everyone with his bat if he were in charge of the men in green today.
Gavaskar’s comments come after Pakistan have put up a number of disappointing performances as of late.
The men in green recently played an ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where they made it to the final before losing to the Black Caps.
They then featured in the 2025 Champions Trophy and were eliminated in the group stage.
“Pakistan ke kaptaan Imran Khan agar kaptaan hote to sabki balle se pitaee laga dete (If Pakistan captain Imran Khan had been the skipper, he would have beaten everyone with his bat),” Gavaskar told Sports Tak.
Pakistan are now touring New Zealand and were comprehensively beaten 4-1 in the five-match T20I series.
The two sides will now play three ODIs, with the first match starting on March 29 in Napier.
