India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is impressed with Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha as he can “play all kinds of shots” when batting.
Salman has brought much-needed stability to the middle order and has been posting a number of solid scores for the men in green.
Recently, he featured in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and made 219 runs in three matches, which included a career-best 134, at an average of 73.
The 31-year-old from Lahore was then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and finished with 61 runs in two games at an average of 30.50.
“He has the skill to play all kinds of shots,” Ashwin said on his YouTube channel as quoted by NDTV.
Pakistan failed to make it out of the group stage in the Champions Trophy as they lost to New Zealand and India.
Their final match against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.
Pakistan are now touring New Zealand, where they are playing five T20Is and three ODIs.
The men in green are currently 2-0 down in the T20I series going into the 3rd T20I on March 21 in Auckland.
In the first two games, Salman made scores of 18 and 46.
