Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh said he likes Pakistan ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan as he has “a positive attitude and plays freely” when batting.
Rizwan has been one of Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorers as of late, racking up a number of solid scores.
Recently, he was involved in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where he amassed 171 runs in three matches, which included a top score of 122 not out, at an average of 85.50.
He then proceeded to play in the 2025 Champions Trophy and ended up with 49 runs in two games at an average of 24.50.
“Then, there is Rizwan. I like him as a player. He is a man with a positive attitude and plays freely,” Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel as quoted by A Sports.
Pakistan crashed out in the group stage of the Champions Trophy after losing to New Zealand and India.
Their last game against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a tour of New Zealand, which will consist of five T20Is and three ODIs that will be played from March 16 to April 5.
