Shoaib Akhtar: “There are no impact players”

Iconic Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar said no impact players exist in the national team right now.
He noted that it is important for the selectors to find such cricketers and get them into the squad right away.
Akhtar’s comments come after the men in green haven’t lived up to expectations lately.
Pakistan played an ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where they made it to the final before losing to the Black Caps.
They were then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and failed to make it out of the group stage as they were beaten by New Zealand and India.
Their final game against Bangladesh was washed out, meaning they went winless throughout their entire campaign.
“There are no impact players,” Akhtar said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Geo Super.
The men in green will tour New Zealand and play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
