Mohammad Hafeez: “He can’t hit every ball out of the park”

Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez said top order batsman Fakhar Zaman “can’t hit every ball out of the park”.
Zaman recently returned to the team and many people expect him to start hitting boundaries right away.
However, Hafeez insisted that this is an unrealistic expectation, even though the 34-year-old has a reputation of being a big-hitter.
“He can’t hit every ball out of the park,” he said on PTV Sports as quoted by Sports Tak.
Zaman played in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and amassed 135 runs, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 120.53.
He then took part in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he made 24 runs in the opening game against New Zealand.
However, during that match, he sustained an oblique injury and missed the rest of the tournament.
Pakistan crashed out in the group stage of the Champions Trophy after losing to New Zealand and India.
Their final match against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.
Pakistan will now embark on a tour of New Zealand, where they will play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
