New Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha said whenever ODI skipper Mohammad Rizwan gets cramps, he often ends up winning the game.
Rizwan has gone down with cramps on a number of occasions and gone on to play an incredible innings.
Salman, rather amusingly, said it is a sign that the 32-year-old is “in the game”.
“Whenever Mohammad Rizwan gets cramps, he’s in the game and he wins it often,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Rizwan recently led Pakistan in their ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where he made 171 runs in three matches, which included a top score of 122 not out, at an average of 85.50.
The Peshawar native followed it up with 49 runs in two games in the 2025 Champions Trophy at an average of 24.50.
Pakistan lost to New Zealand and India in the Champions Trophy, which resulted in them getting knocked out in the group stage.
Their final match against Bangladesh was washed out.
Pakistan will now tour New Zealand and play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
