
Mohammad Rizwan: “Abrar Ahmed is looking like the fittest of all of us, his sprinting and his fielding are looking great, and the rest of us need to keep up as well”

Pakistan ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan said mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed “is looking like the fittest of all of us”.
He praised Abrar’s springing and fielding, while adding that the rest of the team need to “keep up” with the 26-year-old.
“Abrar Ahmed is looking like the fittest of all of us, his sprinting and his fielding are looking great, and the rest of us need to keep up as well,” Rizwan was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Abrar recently featured in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and took three wickets in three matches at an average of 57.
He was then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and claimed two wickets in two games at an average of 37.50.
Pakistan lost to New Zealand and India in the Champions Trophy, which resulted in their campaign coming to an end in the group stage.
Their final match against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.
Next up for the men in green will be a limited overs tour of New Zealand, which will consist of five T20Is and three ODIs that will be held from March 16 to April 5.
