Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman has thanked all the fans for their love and support after he recently made his international comeback.

Zaman returned to feature in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa. Prior to that, he had not played for his country since the 2024 T20 World Cup.

In the tri-series, the 34-year-old had a strong showing, amassing 135 runs, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 120.53.

Even though the men in green ended up losing to New Zealand in the final, Zaman was very appreciate of all the supporters who cheered for him and the team.

“I was out of the team for a while, and I am thankful for the love and support I received from everyone upon my return,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Zaman was then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he made 24 runs in the opening game against New Zealand.

However, he suffered an oblique injury in the match and missed the remainder of the tournament.

Pakistan lost to New Zealand and India, which resulted in them being eliminated in the group stage.

Their Champions Trophy campaign concluded with a washout against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.
