Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan has claimed that batsmen “find it hard to read my flight or variation in pace because my front arm moves very quickly”.

Sajid noted that he has been working on his “sleight of hand”, but ensures not to go overboard when it comes to his bowling style.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed a lot of success in Test cricket, particularly on pitches in Pakistan, where he has been absolutely deadly.

During the recent two-Test series against the West Indies, Sajid was a force to be reckoned with as he took 15 wickets, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 17.

“As an off-spinner, I have a bit of a complicated bowling style. I can’t introduce too many new things to it. Every coach I work with has said my strength is my sleight of hand. Batters find it hard to read my flight or variation in pace because my front arm moves very quickly – even if I’m bowling in the nets to our own batters,” he was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

Sajid was not picked in Pakistan’s team for the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.

He also failed to make the cut for the 2025 Champions Trophy, where the men in green have been eliminated in the group stage after losing to New Zealand and India.

Pakistan will wrap up their campaign against Bangladesh on February 27 in Rawalpindi.
