Former Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal has called for Test spinner Sajid Khan to be selected in the ODI team.
Sajid has been a force to be reckoned with in the longest format, especially when Pakistan play on home soil.
This was evident during the two-Test series against the West Indies in Multan, where the 31-year-old took 15 wickets, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 17.
Sajid himself has expressed an eagerness to play limited overs cricket and Faisal thinks it’s time his wish came true.
“In my opinion, Sajid Khan should be part of Pakistan’s ODI… team,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Sajid was not picked for Pakistan’s ongoing ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
He was also overlooked for the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will be held from February 19 to March 9.
