Pakistan great Younis Khan said he is ready to “help strengthen the team’s batting” if he is given the opportunity to do so.
Younis has worked with the men in green in the past as he previously served as the team’s batting coach.
Pakistan’s batting has been an issue at times and the 47-year-old from Mardan has no doubt that he can help boost the performance of the batsmen if he is given another chance.
“I am ready to serve Pakistan and help strengthen the team’s batting,” Younis, who is the only batsman from the country to have scored 10,000 Test runs, was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
The men in green recently took on New Zealand and South Africa in an ODI tri-series, where they made it to the final before losing to the Black Caps.
Next up for them will be the 2025 Champions Trophy, where they will look to defend their title.
The Champions Trophy will take place from February 19 to March 9.
