Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad believes batsman Babar Azam has become New Zealand spinner Michael Bracewell’s bunny.

He noted that the 30-year-old seems to have trouble when batting against Bracewell and ends up getting out to him.

The 34-year-old dismissed Azam in the opening game of the ODI tri-series that involved Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa.

“Babar Azam has been unlucky, but his ‘love affair’ with Bracewell just doesn’t seem to end. Every time he comes, he makes Babar his bunny and gets him out,” Shehzad was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the ODI tri-series, Azam finished with 62 runs in three matches at an average of 20.66.

He will now be involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9.
