Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Ali said all his recent success has been down to his coach Mansoor Amjad.
He noted that Amjad has been working with him for the past three years and is responsible for correcting and making improvement to his bowling action.
Ali has been deadly with the ball lately as he was the highest wicket-taker in the Champions T20 Cup with 22 wickets in nine games for the Stallions at an incredible average of 9.72 and an economy rate of 6.20.
The 32-year-old from Sialkot then played two matches for Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and took six wickets, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 7.50 and an economy rate of 5.62.
“From [the] last three years, I am working with my coach Mansoor Amjad. He’s from Sialkot and he’s also an ex-Pakistan cricketer. All these corrections and improvements in my bowling is only because of him,” Ali was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Even though he has been in phenomenal form, Ali was not picked in Pakistan’s team for the recent ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
He also failed to make the cut for the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will be held from February 19 to March 9.
