Former Pakistan opener Imran Nazir said Fakhar Zaman “is a very aggressive player”.
Zaman recently made his international comeback in the ongoing ODI tri-series against New Zealand and Pakistan.
In the opening game against New Zealand, he scored 84 runs off 69 balls, which included seven boundaries and four sixes.
Prior to this, the 34-year-old had not played for Pakistan since the 2024 T20 World Cup.
He had been active in domestic cricket and featured in the Champions T20 Cup, where he finished as the third-highest run-scorer with 303 runs in 10 matches for the Markhors, which included two fifties, at an average of 30.30 and a strike-rate of 132.31.
“Fakhar Zaman is a very aggressive player,” Nazir was quoted as saying on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Zaman missed Pakistan’s tours of Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, along with their two-Test series against the West Indies, before making his return in the ODI tri-series.
Once the tri-series finishes, Pakistan will be involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will be held from February 19 to March 9.
