Shan Masood: “It will be thrilling to see him perform”

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has admitted that he can’t wait to see opening batsman Muhammad Hurraira perform.

Hurraira has been around the Test team for quite some time, but finally got the opportunity to make his debut in the two-match series against the West Indies in Multan.

Unfortunately for the 22-year-old, he was unable to have much of an impact in both Tests as he only managed to score 46 runs at an average of 11.50.

Despite this, Masood is confident the Sialkot native, who has made plenty of runs in domestic cricket, will showcase his talent in the near future.

“It will be thrilling to see him perform,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

While Hurraira and Masood both featured in the West Indies Test series, neither of them were picked in the Pakistan team for the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and the Champions Trophy, which will be held from February 19 to March 9.
