Pakistan pace bowler Ihsanullah has revealed that he was clocked at 142 kph during a match he played in Peshawar.

The 22-year-old is working hard to get back to his best after spending more than a year on the sidelines with elbow and shoulder injuries.

Ihsanullah confirmed that he is bowling between 130 and 135 kph on a daily basis, but is determined to ramp up his bowling speed.

The Matta native was previously surpassing 150 kph, which made him an overnight sensation in the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker with 22 wickets in 12 matches for the Multan Sultans at an average of 15.77.

Following his superb showing in PSL 8, he was catapulted into the Pakistan team and played four T20Is, where he picked up six wickets at an average of 18.

He also made his ODI debut in April 2023 but went wicketless in the match.

Shortly after this, Ihsanullah got injured and remained out of action until he recently made his domestic comeback in the Champions T20 Cup in December 2024, where he picked up two wickets in four matches for the Dolphins at an average of 62.50.

“I’m bowling at 130-135 daily as per the speed gun which is equivalent to 140 kph you see on TV. A day ago, I bowled with more force during a match in Peshawar and I clocked in at 142 kph. So, I will improve gradually,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Since he has been injured for a long time, Ihsanullah wasn’t selected for Pakistan’s tours of Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

He also wasn’t picked for the two-Test series against the West Indies in Multan, which finished as a 1-1 draw.

In addition to this, no PSL team selected him in the PSL 10 player draft.
