Pakistan middle order batsman Salman Ali Agha has made it clear that he has “no hesitation” batting at any position.
Salman often finds himself batting with the tailenders, especially in Test cricket, but has done remarkably well for the men in green, which has led to him becoming a regular face in the team.
Despite having to bat in difficult circumstances quite frequently, the 31-year-old doesn’t have any intentions of demanding a promotion up the batting order.
“There is no hesitation in playing at any batting position,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Salman recently toured South Africa with the Pakistan team and made 163 runs in three ODIs, which included a career-best 82 not out, at an average of 81.50.
He also took five wickets at an average of 22.
During the two Tests that followed, he made 86 runs at an average of 21.50 and claimed three wickets at an average of 57.66.
Salman was then involved in Pakistan’s two-Test series against the West Indies in Multan, which ended as a 1-1 draw, and mustered 40 runs at an average of 10.
