Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan has admitted that “it was fun” watching pace bowler Mohammad Abbas bowl in the recent two-Test series against South Africa.
Abbas made his comeback in the series after being away from the Test team for three years.
The 34-year-old didn’t disappoint on his return, taking 10 wickets across both Tests, which included career-best figures of 6-54 in the 1st Test, at an average of 24.60.
Even though Pakistan lost the series 2-0, Abbas’ performance was one of the bright spots for the men in green, especially considering he nearly helped them win the 1st Test.
“Mohammad Abbas, it was fun watching you bowl, lovely comeback!” Shadab said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Next up for Pakistan will be a two-Test series against the West Indies, which will be held in Karachi and Multan from January 16 to 28.
Interestingly, Abbas was not picked for the series despite his outstanding performance against South Africa.
