Ian Bishop: “Salman Ali Agha; cooler than the other side of a pillow”

Former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop has praised Pakistan limited overs vice-captain Salman Ali Agha’s calmness when batting, saying he is “cooler than the other side of a pillow”.
Salman bats in the middle order and often finds himself batting with tailenders in all three formats.
Despite this, he consistently manages to score useful runs, which has helped him secure a spot in the team across all forms.
During the tour of Australia, he featured in a three-match ODI series but only batted once, scoring 12 runs.
He then played in the three-match T20I series, mustering five runs at an average of 1.66.
After this, Pakistan travelled to Zimbabwe and Salman amassed 34 runs in three ODIs at an average of 17, while also taking six wickets at an average of 16.83.
As for the T20Is, he finished with 45 run at an average of 22.50 along with two wickets at an average of 13.
The 31-year-old from did not play in the three-match T20I series against South Africa, but did take part in the ODI series, where he accumulated 163 runs in three games, which included a career-best 82 not out, at an average of 81.50.
He also picked up five wickets at an average of 22.

Pakistan and South Africa were then involved in a two-Test series, which the Proteas won 2-0.
Salman finished with 86 runs at an average of 21.50 and took three wickets at an average of 57.66.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a two-Test series against the West Indies, which will be played in Karachi and Multan from January 16 to 28.
