Ahmed Shehzad: “Haris Rauf is back, pace is pace! All the best for the future”

Senior Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has lauded speedster Haris Rauf for his exceptional bowling as of late, saying “pace is pace”.
Rauf has arguably been Pakistan’s best limited overs bowler over the past couple of months as he has consistently taken wickets.
During the white-ball tour of Australia, he took 10 wickets in three ODIs, which included a five-for, at an average of 12.
He then proceeded to claim five wickets in three T20Is at an average of 15.40.
After this, Pakistan travelled to Zimbabwe and Rauf remained red-hot, picking up three wickets in three ODIs at an average of 32.
In the T20Is, he ended up with three wickets in two games at an average of 10.
The 31-year-old was then involved in Pakistan’s T20I and ODI series against South Africa, but saw his form cool down as he went wicketless.
Even though he had a slight setback against the Proteas, Shehzad admitted it is great to see Rauf firing on all cylinders.
“Haris Rauf is back, pace is pace! All the best for the future!” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan and South Africa are now playing a two-Test series, which the Proteas lead 1-0 after securing a two-wicket win in the 1st Test in Centurion.
The 2nd Test started on January 3 in Cape Town.
