Veteran batsman Ahmed Shehzad has urged Pakistan to use spinner Faisal Akram better by letting him bowl all 10 overs in an ODI.

His comments come after Faisal showed great promise in the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.

The 21-year-old took five wickets at an average of 16 as Pakistan secured a 2-1 series win.

Shehzad acknowledged that Faisal has “had a great rise”, but wants the left-arm spinner to bowl more overs “so that he can learn more”.

“Faisal has had a great rise, he should be utilised better & should be allowed to bowl 10 overs! So that he can learn more,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
