Former Pakistan speedster Abdur Rauf has praised pace bowler Mohammad Abbas, saying he has cast a spell on the entire cricket community.
His comments come after Abbas made his Test comeback in the 1st Test against South Africa in Centurion.
The 34-year-old from Sialkot put on a show in the match as he took seven wickets, including career-best figures of 6-54 in the second innings.
Even though Pakistan ended up losing the match by two wickets, Rauf was amazed by Abbas’ brilliance with the ball.
“Casting [a] spell on [the] entire cricket community,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The 2nd Test between Pakistan and South Africa got underway on January 3 in Cape Town and Abbas claimed three wickets in the 1st innings.
