
Former Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal: “Disappointing performance throughout the tournament by Misbah’s son, not surprised he was given chances by the head coach even after constant failures. Shameful”

Former Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal has lashed out at ex-captain Misbah-ul-Haq’s son Faham-ul-Haq for his “constant failures”.
Faisal noted that Faham had a very disappointing campaign in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup as he scored 66 runs in four matches for the Pakistan Under-19 team at an average of 33.
The 19-year-old also took three wickets at an average of 25.
Faisal pointed out that it is “shameful” Faham is continuing to get opportunities despite not having lived up to expectations.
“Disappointing performance throughout the tournament by Misbah’s son, not surprised he was given chances by the head coach even after constant failures. Shameful!” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan national team recently travelled to Australia and won the ODI series 2-1 before being crushed 3-0 in the T20Is.
They then headed to Zimbabwe and triumphed 2-1 in both the ODI and T20I series.
Currently, the men in green are taking on South Africa and lost the T20I series 2-0 before fighting back to claim a 3-0 win in the ODIs.
As for the ongoing two-Test series, Pakistan find themselves trailing 1-0 after losing the 1st Test in Centurion by two wickets.
The 2nd Test began on January 3 in Cape Town.
