Pakistan middle order batsman Saud Shakeel has confirmed that he is “developing some new shots”.

Shakeel didn’t reveal what these shots are, but noted that he has been working very hard on perfecting them, along with his general skillset.

The 29-year-old has become a key member of Pakistan’s Test team as he has brought some much-needed stability to the middle order.

He once again showcased his talent during the 1st Test against South Africa in Centurion, where he made 84 runs in the 2nd innings, which came off 113 balls and included 10 boundaries and a six.

“I worked very hard on my skills, and I’m also developing some new shots,” the Karachi native was quoted as saying by Grassroots Cricket on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Pakistan lost the 1st Test by two wickets and will now look to bounce back in the 2nd Test against South Africa, which gets underway on January 3 in Cape Town.
