Pakistan opening batsman Yasir Khan said he knows he is “a 100-run player” because of all his hard work.

The 22-year-old from Bannu noted that he trains days and night to ensure he can keep performing at the highest level.

His comments come after he represented the Stallions in the Champions T20 Cup, where he made 232 runs in seven matches at an average of 33.14 and a strike-rate of 149.67.

Yasir’s most notable performance in the tournament came in the final as he struck a superb 100, which came off 57 balls and included five boundaries and seven sixes.

“I’ve worked very hard, day and night, to get to this point, and I know that I am a 100-run player,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Pakistan team recently toured Australia and won the ODI series 2-0 before being battered 3-0 in the T20Is.

They then went to Zimbabwe and triumphed 2-1 in both the ODI and T20I series.

Currently, Pakistan are touring South Africa and started off by losing the T20I series 2-0 before fighting back to claim a 3-0 victory in the ODIs.

In the ongoing two-Test series, the Proteas hold a 1-0 lead as they won the 1st Test in Centurion by two wickets.

The 2nd Test will get underway on January 3 in Cape Town.
