Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood praised pace bowler Mohammad Abbas for his “sensational” performance in the 1st Test against South Africa in Centurion.
Abbas made his Test comeback in that match and didn’t disappoint as he took seven wickets in total, six of which came in the second innings.
In fact, the 34-year-old’s career-best figures of 6-54 nearly won Pakistan the match and Masood was inspired by the fight the Sialkot native showed right until the end.
“Abbas was sensational,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan lost the 1st Test by two wickets and will now look to bounce back in the 2nd Test against South Africa, which starts on January 3 in Cape Town.
