Iconic Pakistan seamer Shoaib Akhtar has applauded the pace trio of Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah for doing a “good job” as of late.

All three bowlers were recently involved in Pakistan’s limited overs series against Australia, which began with three ODIs.

Rauf was the highest wicket-taker in the ODI series as he claimed 10 wickets, which included a five-for, at an average of 12.

Afridi picked up eight wickets at an average of 12.62, while Naseem claimed five wickets at an average of 31.60.

In the three-match T20I series that followed, Rauf finished with five wickets at an average of 15.40, while Afridi snapped up one wicket at an average of 107.

Naseem only featured in two games and ended up taking one wicket at an average of 81.

After the Australia tour, Pakistan travelled to Zimbabwe, but Afridi and Naseem were rested for the series.

Rauf, meanwhile, did play and took three wickets in three ODIs at an average of 32.

He then participated in the three-match T20I series and finished with three wickets in two games at an average of 10.

“Naseem, Haris, Shaheen. All of them played really well and at the same time they did a comprehensively good job,” Akhtar said on his YouTube channel as quoted by NDTV.
