Pakistan white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan said the whole world knows who Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are due to their outstanding performances over a long period of time.

Azam is the backbone of Pakistan’s batting line-up, while Afridi is the pace spearhead in all three formats.

Both players have won many games for the men in green over the last few years, but their form has taken a hit as of late.

Despite this, Rizwan has vowed to keep backing the duo as he knows how important they are to Pakistan’s mission of winning matches.

“Today, Babar and Shaheen are known [to the world] only because of their performances. I will support them as much as I can,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

In the recent three-Test series against England, both Azam and Afridi only featured in the first Test, with the former making scores of 30 and 5.
