Legendary Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Wasim Akram believes the men in green can beat India in a Test series.

He noted that if the series is played on spin-friendly surfaces, Pakistan can definitely take down their arch-rivals.

His comments come after the men in green came from behind to beat England 2-1 in a three-Test series.

India, meanwhile, were beaten 3-0 by New Zealand, marking the first time they have been whitewashed in a Test series on home soil consisting of three or more games.

“It will be massive. It will be good for the game, for two cricket-crazy nations. Pakistan have a chance to beat India in Tests now on a spinning track. They have been hammered by New Zealand 3-0 at home,” Wasim was quoted as saying by A Sports.

Pakistan recently took on Australia in a limited overs series and won the ODI leg 2-1, which was the first time they won an ODI series in the country since 2002.

However, they failed to maintain their momentum in the T20Is as they were demolished 3-0.

The men in green are now playing a white-ball series against Zimbabwe, with the first ODI having started on November 24 in Bulawayo.

Once the ODIs are complete, the two sides will face each other in three T20Is, which start on December 1 in Bulawayo.
