Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt is amazed by fast bowler Ahmed Daniyal’s incredible transformation, saying “he used to be a fat boy”.

Salman noted that Daniyal “looks like an athlete now” after working very hard to become fitter.

The effort the 27-year-old has put in is paying off as his performances are starting to be noticed.

Daniyal is currently representing the Lahore Region Whites in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and has taken 10 wickets in three matches, which includes a five-wicket haul, at an average of 21.80.

In addition to this, he has also scored 89 runs, which includes a top score of 56, at an average of 22.25.

“A few years ago, Ahmed Daniyal was a fat chubby boy. He has worked hard, and if you see him now, you would never imagine that he used to be a fat boy. He looks like an athlete now after working with his trainer, Moin,” Salman was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Pakistan team recently faced Bangladesh in a two-Test series and were whitewashed 2-0.

However, they bounced back from that embarrassing loss to beat England 2-1 in a three-match Test series.

Currently, the men in green are taking on Australia in a limited overs series, which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.

They won the ODI series 2-1, but have already lost the T20I series as Australia hold a 2-0 lead going into the third match on November 18 in Hobart.

Following this, Pakistan will head to Zimbabwe to play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.

Daniyal has been picked in the ODI and T20I squads for this upcoming series and could make his international debut in both formats.
