Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Wasim Jnr is glad to be back bowling after six months on the sidelines.
Wasim Jnr was out of action with a back injury, but has now become fit enough to kickstart his quest to earn a recall to the national team.
The 23-year-old from North Waziristan has represented his country in 29 T20Is and taken 36 wickets at an average of 20.86.
He has also played 20 ODIs and claimed 34 wickets at an average of 25.17.
As for his Test career, he has picked up two wickets in two matches at an average of 115.50.
Wasim Jnr is currently playing for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and began his campaign by taking one wicket and making scores of 49 and 4 against Sialkot Region.
“Thank God, I have resumed my work after six months,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
The Pakistan team recently faced Bangladesh in a two-Test series and were beaten 2-0.
They turned their fortunes around in their three-match Test series against England as they claimed a 2-1 win, which was their first Test series victory on home soil since 2021.
Pakistan are now involved in a limited overs series against Australia, which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Following this, they will head to Zimbabwe to play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
