Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan admitted that Mohammad Hasnain has “bowled superbly” as of late, but remains uncertain about what the future holds for the fast bowler.

Hasnain has earned a recall to the national team for the upcoming tours of Australia and Zimbabwe, but last played international cricket in January 2023.

In the Champions One-Day Cup, which was a domestic 50-over competition held in Faisalabad, he finished as the highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in six games for the Panthers at an average of 16.17.

The 24-year-old then proceeded to play for Pakistan Television in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament and was the joint third-highest wicket-taker with nine wickets in four matches at an average of 19.55.

“Mohammad Hasnain has done hard work in England which has paid him off in [the] Champions Cup. I cannot tell about his future but Hasnain bowled superbly in [the] Champions Cup,” Shadab was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Pakistan team recently took on Bangladesh in a two-Test series and were beaten 2-0.

They then faced England in a three-match Test series, which they won 2-1 to clinch their first Test series win on home soil since 2021.

Next up for Pakistan will be their white-ball tour Australia, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 4 to 18.

The men in green will then travel to Zimbabwe for three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
