Pakistan batsman Mohammad Haris: “Being a wicketkeeper, batter and captain, my goal is to perform and make a comeback to the team”

Pakistan big-hitting batsman Mohammad Haris has expressed his determination to make it back into the national team.
Haris last played international cricket in September 2023, but has been active on the domestic circuit.
He was recently given the opportunity to captain the Stallions in the Champions One-Day Cup, which was a domestic 50-over tournament held in Faisalabad.
What made the decision surprising was the fact that former and current captains like Babar Azam and Shan Masood were part of the Stallions’ squad.
Despite taking on the leadership role, Haris wasn’t able to lead by example with the bat as he made 113 runs in five matches, which included a top score of 55, at an average of 22.60.
Even though he failed to have a big impact, the 23-year-old from Peshawar is still intent on accomplishing his goal of earning a recall to the Pakistan team.
“Being a wicketkeeper, batter and captain, my goal is to perform and make a comeback to the team,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Haris was not part of Pakistan’s squad for the recent two-Test series against Bangladesh, which the men in green lost 2-0.
He also wasn’t selected for the three-Test series against England, which began on October 7 in Multan.
