Saeed Ajmal on Sachin Tendulkar: “Sachin is a great cricketer. The most honest and kind in the world. He is a legend. I call him Sir. He is worthy of that”

Iconic Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal said he called legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulkar “Sir” because “he is worthy of that”.
Ajmal noted that the ‘Little Master’ is “a great cricketer” who is “honest” and “kind”.
The 46-year-old from Faisalabad also admitted that he is immensely proud of the fact that he got Tendulkar out, especially since the 51-year-old from Mumbai is widely considered to be the greatest-ever cricketer.
“Sachin is a great cricketer. The most honest and kind in the world. He is a legend. I call him Sir. He is worthy of that. In cricket, when you go to the ground, there is nothing like Sir, but I have played with him in it, it is a matter of honour for me. I have got him out, it is a matter of happiness for me. I will always remember this and whenever I played with him, I played as a human with respect,” Ajmal was quoted as saying by NDTV.
The Pakistan team recently faced Bangladesh in a two-Test series in Rawalpindi, which they lost 2-0.
Many of the national players are now involved in the Champions One-Day Cup, which is a domestic 50-over tournament being played in Faisalabad.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-Test series against England, which is scheduled to take place from October 7 to 28 in Multan and Rawalpindi.
