Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has asked whether people think the national players listen to Test captain Shan Masood.

Shehzad doesn’t think Masood has shown himself to be a good leader and therefore has doubts about whether everyone always obeys his instructions.

The 34-year-old was in charge for Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh, but failed to have much of an impact with the bat as his side succumbed to an embarrassing 2-0 defeat.

Masood made 105 runs across both matches, which included a top score of 57, at an average of 26.25.

“Does the performance of Shan Masood look like his team members will listen to what he is demanding from them?” Shehzad said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Samaa TV.

Masood is now playing for the Stallions in the Champions One-Day Cup, which is a domestic 50-over competition being held in Faisalabad, and has scored 94 runs in three games at an average of 31.33.

Next up for the Pakistan Test team will be a three-match series against England, which is set to be played from October 7 to 28.
