Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has taken aim at Test captain Shan Masood, saying he has “made fumbles on many accounts”.
Ramiz added that Masood’s mistakes are hindering his ability to do his job as captain, which is to win matches.
Pakistan lost their recent two-Test series against Bangladesh 2-0, even though both matches were played on home soil in Rawalpindi.
Masood failed to lead by example with the bat as he only managed to amass 105 runs, which included a top score of 57, at an average of 26.25.
“Shan Masood has to give the answers because he is spearheading the side. It’s the job of the leader to win the matches for his side. Shan Masood had made fumbles on many accounts,” Ramiz said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-match Test series against England, which is scheduled to be held from October 7 to 28.
