Ahmed Shehzad: “He used to complain that he does not get many chances in the national team”

Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad said Test captain Shan Masood used to complain about not getting enough chances back in the day.
Now that he is in charge of the Test side, the 34-year-old has virtually become undroppable.
However, he has not been making the most of the opportunities he is getting with the bat, which was evident during the recent two-Test series against Bangladesh where Pakistan lost 2-0.
Masood only managed to score 105 runs, which included a top score of 57, at an average of 26.25.
For Shehzad, this is highly frustrating as he believes Masood should be scoring truckloads of runs after regularly being overlooked in the past.
“Over the years, many people continued to talk in favour of Shan Masood. We got to hear a lot whenever he was dropped from the team or not getting many opportunities,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Samaa TV.
“He used to complain that he does not get many chances in the national team.”
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-match Test series against England, which will be held from October 7 to 28.
