Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has slammed the national players for not caring about their performance and having a laid back attitude during the Test series against Bangladesh.
The men in green suffered a shock 2-0 loss, even though they had the home advantage as both matches were played in Rawalpindi.
Akmal pointed out that the players will get away with “laughing” and “playing for fun” since “there’s no one to hold them accountable”.
“Our players were playing as if they were a club team. Even club batsmen don’t play like that. Did you see the dressing room? Shoes off, legs crossed, and they’re laughing. No worries at all. Why? Because there’s no one to hold them accountable. They don’t care about their performance. They’re just playing for fun,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
