Legendary England batsman Kevin Pietersen is worried about the state of cricket in Pakistan following the national team’s shocking loss to Bangladesh.
The men in green took on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series in Rawalpindi and were whitewashed 2-0.
Recalling when he played in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Pietersen noted that the country was producing outstanding young talent who looked set to have bright careers.
However, looking at the way things are now, the 44-year-old is left wondering what has happened.
“What happened to cricket in Pakistan? When I played the PSL, the standard of that league was tremendous, the players had a very good work ethic and the youngsters on display were magic. What’s happening there?” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
