Ramiz Raja: “Masood needs to improve his batting and needs to show that you have some knowledge of the game”

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has called on Test captain Shan Masood to show “that you have some knowledge of the game”.

His remarks come after Masood captained Pakistan in their recent two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which they lost 2-0.

With the men in green suffering a shock loss on home soil, Ramiz conceded that the 34-year-old must show he has a deep understanding of the game. Additionally, he wants Masood to “improve his batting” and lead by example.

“Masood needs to improve his batting and needs to show that you have some knowledge of the game,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.

In the Test series against Bangladesh, Masood failed to have a huge impact, finishing with 105 runs, which included a top score of 57, at an average of 26.25.
