Former Pakistan left-arm seamer Junaid Khan believes the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) may have been the first and last one for pace prospect Mohammad Zeeshan.
Zeeshan represented the Peshawar Zalmi in the tournament and took one wicket in three games at an average of 112 and an economy rate of 10.18.
Despite only being 18 years old, Junaid doesn’t think the Faisalabad native should play in the PSL again since there is a “potential injury threat”.
“This could be Mohammad Zeeshan’s first and last PSL due to the potential injury threat,” he told PakPassion.
Zeeshan recently featured in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament and claimed four wickets in two matches for the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) at an average of 26.50.
He also struck a career-best 53 against Pakistan TV.
Zeeshan was not selected for Pakistan’s ongoing two-Test series against Bangladesh, where the men in green find themselves 1-0 down after losing the first Test by 10 wickets.
The second Test got underway on August 30 in Rawalpindi.
