Former England captain Michael Atherton has heaped praise on Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf, calling him “one of the best death bowlers in the world”.
Rauf has a knack of taking wickets in the last few overs of matches, which makes him a nightmare for opposition teams.
The 30-year-old is also among the quickest bowlers right now as he is capable of surpassing 150 kph.
“Haris Rauf is one of the best death bowlers in the world,” Atherton was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Rauf was recently in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup and took seven wickets in four matches at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will take place in Rawalpindi and Karachi from August 21 to September 3.
